Finish your race!

Finish your race!

God’s best is not always the easiest. Life is full of ups and downs and our spiritual journey is no different. You may feel discouraged in your own life and question if you are ever going to reach the dreams God has spoken into your heart. A natural choice can be to take the path of least resistance, but in many cases this will lead us away from God’s best. Take a look at Esau. During difficult times Esau lost sight of what had been promised to him. He was more focused on his circumstances and his current condition, than he was the promise for his future. As a result, he traded out the future his father had in store for him, simply to satisfy the circumstances he was in at the moment.
Your journey may seem hard right now but it is tough for a reason. God has a purpose for it so don’t trade it in for something less. You are being shaped and molded so trust God’s plans for you. His plans are to prosper you. Like Joseph, God may have shown you a great vision for your life but it just seems to be one road block after another. You may feel that you are wandering aimlessly in the desert like Moses. You may feel broken-hearted like Abram and Sarai, before their promise of a son came to pass. The good news is that God will see you through just like He saw them through…so trust in Him.
He is the God of completion. Once He places a plan and a purpose in front of you it is His desire that you complete that journey. This does not mean that it will be easy. Times will get difficult but that just makes the finish line that much sweeter! When situations get hard remember His faithfulness. He didn’t even spare His Son when it came to you, so clearly He cares for your future. He believes in you! Circumstances can get overwhelming at times but His purpose is for you to walk in the destiny that He has created for you. Finish your race! You may be tired but find your strength in Him today. He who has began a good work in you, will bring it to completion.
